Coming from France, Genova, Cinque Terre, Pisa , Viareggio
Take autostrada A11 to Florence until you get close to the city. Exit A11 to get onto A1 towards Roma/Milano. In a short distance the road splits - Follow signs to Roma until you find the exit called FIRENZE CERTOSA then follow our detailed instructions to the hotel.
Coming from Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra
Take the freeway Siena-Florence until it ends at a roundabout/traffic circle. Then follow our detailed instructions to the hotel.
Coming from Milano, Bologna, Lake Como, Venezia, Roma
Stay on the autostrada until you find the exit called FIRENZE CERTOSA then follow our detailed instructions to the hotel.
We recommend this exit because it is the most direct and easy route to the hotel. When you are at the roundabout/traffic circle, follow the directions through FIRENZE CENTRO to a big square (Porta Romana), recognizable by the unusual modern statue in the middle and the old city wall to the side.
Enter the right arch straight ahead and follow Via Romana, (which will become) Via Maggio. cross Ponte Santa Trinita (a bridge over the Arno) and then turn right onto Lungarno Acciaiuoli and drive up to the Alitalia Office, located a few meters before the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge). Turn left up the adjacent side-street and left again up the first street you reach , called Borgo S.S. Apostoli.
Hotel Alessandra, number 17, will be on your left. Parking can be found in either a garage or a specially designated lot away from the city center directions to these facilities may be obtained at the hotel office.
Please Note: Guests of the Hotel Alessandra, have the legal right to arrive at the hotel by car, in case the police stops you please inform them.
Attention: In order to better manage the urban traffic, 15 telematic doors have been activated in the City Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL). A computer system will create a database showing the car number plates allowed to drive in. Please apply the Hotel concierge for further information.
