Basilica of Santa Croce Designed probably by Arnolfo di Cambio, the church was called Santa Croce in honor of the stigmata received by San Francesco in 1224 in Verna.
The bell-tower, in gothic style, was conceived in 1847 and the façade was decorated with Carrara’s marble between 1853 and 1863.
