Driving and parking in this medieval town with very narrow streets is mainly restricted to residents. You can, however and hardly, drive to the hotel (just to unload bags and with proof of your booking with us ready to show to the Police in case the stop you) by following the direction shown on the map below.
We strongly suggest to drive directly to the Garage and than walk to the Hotel (around 150meters distance).

Coming from France, Genova, Cinque Terre, Pisa , Viareggio
Take autostrada A11 to Florence until you get close to the city. Exit A11 to get onto A1 towards Roma/Milano. In a short distance the road splits - Follow signs to Roma until you find the exit called FIRENZE IMPRUNETA (old name FIRENZE CERTOSA) then follow our detailed instructions to the hotel.

Stay on the autostrada until you find the exit called FIRENZE IMPRUNETA (old name FIRENZE CERTOSA) then follow our detailed instructions to the hotel.

We recommend this exit because it is the most direct and easy route to the hotel. When you are at the roundabout/traffic circle, follow the directions through FIRENZE CENTRO to a big square (Porta Romana), recognizable by the unusual modern statue in the middle and the old city wall to the side.

Please make sure to follow the directions through FIRENZE CENTRO especially at the traffic light you will find after the long street with all the gasoline stations on your left. You MUST turn right (even if your GPS tell you to go straight) because if going straight at that traffic light you will enter a street reserved to BUSES and TAXIS and POLICE CARS and you will get a fine.

Enter the right arch straight ahead and follow Via Romana, (which will become) Via Maggio till you reach the river, turn left onto Lungarno Guicciardini and drive up till the next traffic light. Turn right and cross Ponte alla Carraia (a bridge over the Arno), when at the traffic light (on the other side of the bridge) go straight and enter the small round about located in Piazza Goldoni (The square you find once you have crossed the bridge - make sure not to turn right immediately after the bridge otherwise you will drive along the river Arno and this is wrong) and turn right immediately (there is small news agent kiosk in the corner) continuining to stay on the right you will enter Via del Parione, drive up and take the second alley/street on your left, left again and first right you will be in Via dell’ Inferno where you can finally park your car. From there you will be 150 meters on foot from the hotel.

Attention: In order to better manage the urban traffic, telematics doors have been activated in the City Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL). Starting 1st December 2011 the city has introduced a new toll for entering the city Center by car, the Garage will insert the details of your car number plate in the computer system and you will pay this toll when leaving the Garage on your check-out date.
