The Justice column This granite column comes from the Caracalla’s baths in Rome, was gifted by the pope Pio IV to Cosimo I de Medici, in remembrance of the victory on Siena. It employed about 5 years to arrive in Florence crossing the sea and the Arno river. The justice statue, made by Francesco del Tadda, was placed in 1581.
